If you would like to build a website for free, you can get one at WordPress.com or Blogger.com. You can also get a free domain name, i.e. .tk, .co.cc domain name extensions are free.
But you need to be aware that free websites are not really important to the search engines so it’ll be a bit harder for you to rank well in the search engines with a free domain name. I recommend you to get a domain name at Godaddy.com and the hosting at Hostgator.com.
Now like I’ve mentioned above, the best fastest and easiest way to build a great website from scratch is with WordPress. This is in my opinion and of course you can agree different. For example I’ve built this site in about an hour that includes the header design, made in Photoshop in about 30 minutes.
Half of the time is for setting up plugins and SEO optimization for the entire site. It might take you longer than an hour when you start, as you build more sites you will have more experience and you will be building a lot of sites in no time. You don’t really need to design your own header but it is recommended if you want a unique site.

All you have to do is go to WordPress.org for installation instructions or you can check with your hosting provider as they usually have a free website platforms installer.
After the installation all you have to do is pick the template that you like the best, there are many templates you can choose from, I mean just Google “free wordpress templates downloads” and you will see so many templates.
