Blogging Mistake # 3
– Lack of consistency
This is a challenging one. One of the biggest mistakes that hurt my progress while trying to build a successful blog online, was the lack of consistency with the necessary work.
You must keep consistent with the work!
They say hard work pays off, and it really does. But, what pays off even more, is CONSISTENT hard work!
Consistency is key to success in anything. You need to understand this very well, and realize that you need to be as consistent as possible with everything you need to do to build a successful blog online. Especially at the beginning.
You need to get your blog off the ground, and get the ball rolling!
The hardest and most consistent work will be at the beginning of your blogging journey. Trust me, it gets easier as you move forward.
Once your blog starts building up organic traffic, you can relax a little bit more and work less.
Remind yourself WHY you need to build a successful blog online, DAILY.
Keeping your WHY in mind at all times, will help you stay consistent with what you have to do every day. Fuel yourself up with motivation and inspiration to keep taking steps forward every single day.
I know how important it is to keep yourself motivated every day, in order to keep doing the necessary work – this is why I have a section on this blog called Motivation – do whatever gets you motivated and inspired daily!

For example; you only have 2 spare hours in the morning, what would be more important for you to do online, writing a valuable blog post or replying to your messages and notifications on Facebook? …

This is a mistake I have also made during my blogging journey online. It is easy to fall into bad prioritization. Sometimes we need to step back, and look at what exactly we are doing online, and most importantly, HOW we are doing things online.

This is why you should really invest in your education here. You must learn what the right process to building a successful blog online is. So you can prioritize your online tasks the best way possible.

Hi Freddy,
The mistake of poor organization for bloggers brings about dangerous consequences. It can affects productivity from the start.
Its important that consistent discipline is maintained if productivity is to be achieved with blogging.
Its not easy blogging but if we easily get control of our emotions then we set up ourselves for blogging success at all times!
I have shared the above comment in kingged.com where this post was found.
Hi Sunday!
I agree with you!
Organization is one of the keys to keep yourself productive online. You need to have a lot of self-discipline to build a successful blog online!
Thanks for your comment man!
Have a great week!
See you around!
Cheers! :D
Hi Freddy.
You got it my friend. The big one for me is being organised. I already have my bookmarks tucked neatly at the top of my Chrome browser page, it’s an excellent way of staying organised – no looking about for websites, or typing things in all the time. That really is an excellent tip all by itself, because there was a time when I didn’t have this. And I’d end up typing my site URL’s in time after time after time.
Some good little nuggets of advice here in general as well.
Keep up the good work Freddy :-)
Hi Richard!
Organization is always something to really work on. It is not easy for everyone to become well-organized, but it can be done, and it is an effective way to work.

I also have folders of bookmarks in my browser. Links are organized and yes, being organized keep you become productive online. You’ll get a nice feeling after arranging and organizing stuff in your computer. You’ll not have a problem in locating stuffs in your PC.
Lack of consistency – believed that steadiness is easier said than done for newbies, most especially to those who doesn’t have their own mentor or team that will guide them and trigger them off to strive hard or even harder. I concur, “Consistency is key to success in anything.”
All in all, there are many common mistakes that newbies typically commits. The essential thing is, they must carry on the blogging race and correct every mistake and learn from it. There is always a room to grow. Even triumphant bloggers experienced lots of mistakes. So, they don’t need to fret a lot about it.
Heyy Metz!!
You are very well-organized, way to go!! :) .. it is really important to keep everything organized, indeed.
There is a peaceful flow of productivity, when you are well-organized, and know exactly what you need to do. You will feel better, and you can accomplish more, working like this!

Hey Freddy,
You have listed all the actions bloggers should take to be successful. One of my downfalls is just being organized. I bet if I was more organized, I can get more things done in a more timely manner. Speaking of time, there are times i like to go on Youtube to watch videos where I should be more productive. But besides these two, I’m pretty good in shape and it has been paying off!
Thanks for this reminder Freddy! Have a great rest of the week!

Hey Sherman!
I see the most common problem, in new blogger online, is getting very well-organized. I also had a hard time getting everything organized, and keeping a good productive discipline. It is not easy if you are not normally used to being well-organized in life – but it is also not impossible to get into this habit. It is a matter of taking the decision to become a very well-organized individual!
I’m glad you are doing things the right way now man! … keep it up!
Thank you for passing by and leaving a good comment Sherman!
Have a fantastic week!
See you around!
Cheers! :D
Yes! The most common mistake and the hardest, like you said, is the consistent hard work. Anyone can be so excited about something a do a good job at being consistent and then slack off because the results are not coming fast enough. They get discouraged or just lazy and that is one of the main reasons why people fail at blogging. I was a victim of it at one point and it is hard. i am really glad to see that you say you should exercise and stay healthy. That is crucial, and it may not be in the beginning but it will catch up to you when you feel like crap all the time because you are in bead health. Not too many people take about that. Great job!
Hi Lawrence!
Thats right man! … the discipline and will power to stay consistent with the necessary work is the key to success here! ;)
Staying healthy and taking good care of your mind and body also takes a strong discipline. You must do the right things, if you want the right outcomes, and the right success.
So, in other words, have a strong discipline to do the right things that will get you the right things! :)
You know what I mean!
Thanks for passing by and leaving a comment man!
Have a great week!
Cheers! :D
Hi Freddy, I read your post and being a newbie myself you certainly hit the nail on the head. I guess for me consistency maybe my shortfall right now, but after reading your post I am going to step up. I don’t have an outright website per say, but I did include my blog post so you can follow what I am doing.
Thanks for your sharing your wealth of knowledge.
Hi David!!
I’m glad you got some value from this post man!
This is definitely powerful knowledge, but only when it is taken very seriously and with a lot of consistent action!
I see you are using an EN Blog – very good blog for sure! .. I also have one.
You can definitely take that blog to success man. Just keep learning the right knowledge and make it happen!
Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment!
Keep up the great work!
Have a fantastic week! :D
Hi Freddy
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful article here with us.
Actually these are those mistakes which almost every blogger do.
I had also did so many mistakes like copying articles from other blogs.
I can remember those days when I was very much new to this blogging world and I purchased a domain name without thinking about the niche of the blog.
I purchased the domain name and then I thought that On which topic, I should make my website then I thought that I’ll create an another Wikipedia.. Haha lol
And I started copying articles from Wikipedia. After putting efforts so many days, When I saw that no result is coming out then I decided that I’ll make a top 10 lists site where I can list top 10 things of every topic and again I started copying articles from a site named Listverse.
I did like this till 7-8 months because I was very much new to all this things and I even don’t have any experience of writing articles. My English was also not good.
Haha I know It still not good But currently I am able to write few lines But at that time, It was so difficult for me.
I did copy pasting till 7-8 months and when I noticed that I am just wasting my time and nothing then I started finding the reason behind not getting traffic on my site.
Then somewhere I found my mistake i.e. Copying articles from other site.
On that day, I learnt that Google never ranks copied articles.
So I made a decision that I’ll never copy any article and will write article myself.
In starting days, It was so difficult for me to write an article. I first write article on my notebook and then later type in WordPress.
After doing this few days, I tried writing directly in WordPress and any how I completed my first article in WordPress. Later I continuously did practice and it became common and easy for me.
Now I am complete able to write in WordPress directly because Practice makes perfect. Right? :D
There are also so many mistakes which I am still making which you have listed in this article and I am trying my best to stop doing those mistakes.
Thanks for sharing such a great piece of content with us.
Happy Blogging ;)
Hi Chetan!!
What a great comment brother!
This shows how much will you have to make it happen in the blogging world! … and you will! ;)
I also ha some problems writing in English, when I first started blogging online. I did not finish high school and I moved to the US at the age of 15. So, I know what you mean here.
Making mistakes is actually good. Mistakes help you learn faster and better. If you can avoid mistakes, then do avoid them – but if you cannot, then do not. There is nothing wrong with mistakes! :D
You are learning from your experiences, and you are pushing forward – so keep it up buddy!
Thank you very much for coming by and leaving a comment!
I appreciate it.
Keep up the great work and keep on growing forward my friend!
Have a great weekend!
